Paseos, piscina, cervecitas bien frescas en el bar rosa… Pero si algo puede mejorar aún más tu estancia con nosotros, es salir a descubrir lugares bonitos cerquita de la finca. Así que aquí te traemos tres excursiones para pasar el día que te encantarán.

In this blog we’re going to tell you about three of our most favorite day trips in Alicante area.

These are plans for everyone, whether you come with your partner, friends or family. We assure you that when you return home – aka the Finca – you will sleep like newborns.
- Ruta de los acantilados de Benitatxell y comida en La Bandideta (Cala Granadella) / Benitatxell cliffs-route and lunch at La Bandideta (Cala Granadella)
Nuestra primera propuesta te va a llevar hasta la comarca de la Marina alta. Esta, es una sencilla ruta de ida y vuelta que recorre la costa iniciándose en el aparcamiento de Cala Moraig y termina en Cala llebeig. Es una ruta lineal muy fácil, super divertida par hacer con niños y con unas vistas impresionantes de los acantilados y el mar Mediterráneo al frente.

Our first suggestion will bring you to the region of the Marina Alta. This round route starts at the parking area of Cala Moraig and ending at Cala llebeig. It’s a very easy linear route with stunning views of the cliffs and the Mediterranean Sea in front of you. This day trip is also super fun to do with children.
Para esta ruta, te recomendamos empezar el día temprano (El calor aprieta, sobre todo en los meses cálidos, y además, encontraréis menos gente), y conducir hasta el parking de Cala Moraig. Allí encontraréis el inicio de la ruta. Simplemente hay que seguir las señales verdes y blancas que os irán mostrando el camino (SL – CV 50) y que os llevarán bajo y a través de enormes acantilados y al ladito del mar hasta la pequeña Cala llebeig. Allí podéis parar a descansar y disfrutar de las vistas, tomar un refresco y daros un bañito antes de retomar el camino de vuelta.

We recommend you to start this day trip early in the morning (the temperature is better, especially in the warmer months, and there will be less people) and drive to the parking of Cala Moraig. Here you will find the start of the trail. Just follow the green and white signs (SL – CV 50), they will lead you around and trough huge cliffs right next to the sea to bring you to the small Cala llebeig. Here you can stop to rest, enjoy the view and go for a swim before starting you’re way back.
De nuevo en el aparcamiento, tomad el coche y conducid 15 minutos hasta llegar a Cala Granadella. Y ahora, nada mejor que sentaros a la sombra de uno de los árboles del restauante La Bandideta, a pie de playa, y llenar la barriga con algunos de los platos de su carta. Nuestra recomendación: Las bravas, la pata de pulpo o alguna de sus pizzetas.

What’s better after a hike like this than to fill your belly with some delicious food? From the parking it’s just a 15 minute drive to Cala Granadella. At restaurant La Bandideta, right on the beach, you can find some perfect spots under the trees to recover from the hike in the shade. Our recommendations from La Bandideta are the bravas, the octopus leg or some of their pizzetas.
- Anna Gorgos y cascadas / Anna freshwater pools and waterfalls
El litoral de la comunidad valenciana es impresionante, no lo vamos a negar, pero el interior también es precioso, y esconde algunos tesoros como Anna, con sus gorgos y cascadas. Allí podréis bañaros en las aguas claras del Gorgo de la escalera, un canal con muchas pozas de agua, por el que discurre un afluente del rio Sellent; visitar las diferentes cascadas e incluso hacer barranquismo en algunas de ellas.
Este pequeño pueblo del interior de Valencia se encuentra a una hora en coche de la finca. Os recomendamos salir también temprano, sobre todo en los meses estivales.

The coastline of the Valencian community is stunning, we will not deny. But the countryside is also beautiful and hides some treasures like Anna, with its gorgos and waterfalls. Here you can bathe in the clear waters of the Gorgo de la escalera, a channel with many pools where a tributary of the Sellent river runs trough. You can visit the different waterfalls or even go canyoning on some of them.
This small town, Anna, inland Valencia is about an hour’s drive from the Finca. We recommend you to leave early in the morning, especially in the summer months.
Preparad un picnic, bebidas y los bañadores/bikinis y cargad el coche de buen rollo y ganas dirección a Anna. Una vez allí, veréis una gasolinera de color rojo, donde, si hay mucha gente podéis aparcar y seguir el camino que discurre entre naranjos hasta la entrada del gorgo. Si hay poca gente, os recomendamos que vayáis en coche por el mismo camino de naranjos hasta la entrada, pues allí hay un pequeño descampado donde podéis aparcar.
La entrada al gorgo cuesta 2 euros p/p y también os da acceso a la Albufera de Anna.

Ready!? Prepare a picnic, drinks, pack your swimsuits/bikinis and load the car with good vibes and enthusiasm towards Anna. Once you arrive at Anna, you will see a red gas station. If there are a lot of people already, this is where you can park your car. Follow the the road that runs between the orange trees to the entrance of the gorgo. If it’s not busy yet, we recommend you to follow the same road with orange trees by car and park at the end of this road.
To enter the gorgo you will have to pay 2 euro p/p, this will also give you access to the Albufera of Anna.

Desde ahí, solo tenéis que bajar los 136 escalones que os separan de un auténtico paraíso de pozas de agua cristalinas en medio de un barranco. Las vistas son espectaculares y vale la pena cada segundo de coche y cada escalón. Podéis pasar el día de poza en poza, o podéis también visitar el Salto, una cascada de 25m a la que accedéis por un escarpado sendero (Os recomendamos llevar zapatillas antideslizantes y que os sujeten el pie bien) y que apenas os llevará media hora.

From there, you just have to go down the 136 steps that bring you to a real paradise of crystal clear waters in the middle of a canyon. The views are magnificent and worth every second in the car and every step down. You can spend the day going from pool to pool or you can also visit the Salto, a 25m waterfall. To get here you have to follow a steep path so we recommend you to wear non-slip shoes. It will take about half an hour to get there.
Otra opinión muy divertida también, aunque un poco más exigente, es realizar la “ruta de las tres cascadas” (12.5km), que empieza en el pueblo de Anna cerca de un parque infantil y termina en el Gorgo de la escalera. Si os apetece un plan más aventurero, una idea genial es poneros en contacto con alguna de las empresas que organizan barranquismo en el Salto del gorgo de la escalera, ¡sin duda os subirá las pulsaciones!

Another fun option, although a bit more demanding, is the “Ruta de las 3 cascadas” (12.5km). This route starts in the village of Anna near a playground and ends at the Gorgo de la escalera. If you feel like a more adventurous plan, we can recommend you to contact one of the companies that organize canyoning in the Salto del gorgo de la escalera. This will certainly get your heart rate up!

- Paddle surf or kayak in L’Olla beach (Altea) / Paddle surf en playa L’Olla
Otro plan estupendo de sol y playa es visitar playa l’Olla, en Altea.
Y decimos estupendo porque una cosa es ir a la playa a pasar el día, y otra cosa muy diferente es alquilar una tabla de paddlesurf o un kayak y hacer una excursión desde la playa hasta la “La illeta”. Un poquito de ejercicio extra para tus piernas y brazos bajo el sol y así gastar bien de energía para después poder recompensarnos como se merece a la hora de comer. Una vez en la isla, podéis hacer snorkel y refrescaros antes de empezar la vuelta a la playa.
*Es importante respetar al máximo el paraje natural de la isla, así como las praderas de posidona de los fondos.

Another great summer plan is to visit l’Olla beach, in Altea.
And we say great because this excursion is not just about spending the day at the beach. At this beach you can rent a paddlesurf board or a kayak and take a trip from the beach to “La itelleta”, a small island just in front of the beach. A little bit of exercise for your legs and arms under the sun. This way you can be active for a little bit before rewarding yourself with a delicious lunch. When you arrive on the island, you can snorkel and refresh yourselves before returning to the beach.
*It’s important to respect the natural landscape of the island and the posidona meadows of the seabed as much as possible
